During the nineties...
... I felt a lot of inclination to write, therefore a whole bunch of songs started to fill my archives. Naturally I wanted to take them a step further and so I sent the sketches to London to my friend Betty, hoping that she may feel inclined to add some proper lyrics to one or the other. To my big surprise she came up with lyrics to about 17 of them. That again gave me a big impulse to "finish them off". I picked the ones I thought to be most advanced and during the free times in the studio I started to record the instrumental tracks. So, when Betty came to Vienna we added the vocals. She sang all the lead vocals to the 8 chosen tracks as well as all female harmonies.
Pimpfy Cosndola added some tasteful live guitars and within a relatively short period we found ourselves with a selection of very fine tracks of mixed style. I chose the title of this package (obviously) in retrospect of our last common project Channel Tunnel. Therefore these were the "SONGS AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL", like the light at the end of a tunnel.
CT was a fine project, but the fact that we were living so far apart made work rather difficult, as you can imagine. Having thus decided to "give it a break", Pimpfy and myself formed another band with musicians from Vienna, called in short "PCB". As a male lead singer we found Mike Conroy, a Liverpudlian jockey, who has been living in Vienna for quite some time and who wanted to join a working Rock-band. He gave me the honours to do some rap on one of the "tunnelsongs", called "Green Light", giving it the final touch. This album has been recorded and mastered entirely in "Beserlpark Studio"/Vienna; engineer Pimpfy Cosndola / Cosndola Production 1994. (C) 1994
